Although the project was not part of an insurance claim, the homeowner opted for a complete re-roof with GAF Timberline HDZ® shingles in Charcoal, ensuring premium protection and long-lasting curb appeal. The installation, completed on September 20, 2024, covered 42 steep-slope squares and is backed by GAF’s System Plus™ Warranty, offering extended coverage and product assurance.
This re-roof was performed on a clean deck and included a full lineup of high-performance components. We installed FeltBuster® synthetic underlayment for moisture protection, Pro-Start® starter strips along both rakes and eaves, and Seal-A-Ridge® hip & ridge shingles to complete the roof system. Attic ventilation was enhanced with Cobra® SnowCountry ridge vents, and every shingle was secured using six nails per shingle to meet GAF’s wind resistance guidelines and ensure lasting performance.
Material sourcing and logistics were coordinated with ABC Supply – Waldorf branch, with delivery completed by September 19, 2024. The order included 126 bundles of Timberline HDZ shingles, ice and water shield, aluminum drip edge, matching caulk, roof sealant, trim coil, step flashings, ridge vent material, and additional accessories—all carefully chosen to meet the system specifications. Total retail value of materials and installation reached $21,000, reflecting both the premium product selection and expert craftsmanship involved.
As part of our quality standards, we applied StainGuard Plus™ to help resist algae growth and maintain a clean roof appearance over time. Every flashing and ridge vent installation was performed according to IRC R905.2.8.3 and PA Code § 403.21, guaranteeing full compliance with residential building codes.
