At this home in Oxon Hill, MD, the roof and gutter system had reached the point where replacement was the best choice for long-term protection. The homeowner contacted us for a free inspection after spotting signs of wear across both the roofline and gutters. We walked through the full scope together and created a plan that would upgrade the home’s exterior with better performance and modern curb appeal.
The homeowner selected Owens Corning Duration Designer shingles in Aged Copper, a bold and unique color choice that adds contrast and visual dimension to the roof while maintaining top-tier durability. These architectural shingles offer advanced resistance to wind and algae, making them a strong fit for homes in the Maryland climate.
To support proper ventilation and extend the life of the roofing system, we installed DuraRidge ridge vents, helping to regulate attic temperature and reduce moisture buildup. A white drip edge was added along the perimeter of the roof for clean water runoff and an enhanced finish. The installation followed all Owens Corning guidelines to qualify for the lifetime material warranty and is protected by a 5-year labor warranty for peace of mind.
As part of the complete exterior upgrade, the project also included 6-inch white seamless gutters and downspouts installed around the entire home. The new gutter system is built for efficient water management and features hidden hangers for a streamlined, secure appearance.
