In Sunderland, MD, a homeowner on Gordon Drive decided it was time to upgrade their aging roof and gutter system before the next season of heavy weather arrived. With visible signs of wear and concern about long-term protection, they reached out for a free inspection—and together, we created a plan to install a durable, high-performing roofing system backed by industry-leading materials.
The homeowner selected GAF Timberline HDZ architectural shingles in Appalachian Sky, a striking, cool-toned color that brings both dimension and visual appeal to the home’s exterior. Known for their Advanced Protection® technology, these shingles are designed to withstand high winds, resist staining, and maintain their integrity through the toughest weather conditions.
To support the roof’s long-term health and ventilation, Snow Country ridge vents were installed along the ridgelines, allowing air to circulate and reducing the buildup of heat and moisture in the attic. The team also installed white drip edge, aluminum pipe collars, and all necessary flashing to seal critical points around the roof. The system is backed by a 50-year limited lifetime material warranty and covered by a 5-year labor warranty, giving the homeowner long-term peace of mind.
The scope of work also included the full replacement of the gutter system, featuring 6-inch white seamless gutters built with a hidden hanger design for added strength and a clean appearance. This modern setup improves water management and helps protect the foundation by directing rainwater safely away from the home.
With the installation completed on schedule and the job site left clean and clear, the homeowner now has a roofing and gutter system that not only enhances their home’s appearance but is built to perform for years to come.
