In Lusby, MD, a homeowner on Maryland Avenue was ready to make a bold, functional upgrade to their home. Years of exposure had weakened the existing roofing system, and the homeowner reached out for a free inspection to help plan for a full replacement that would not only solve existing issues but improve long-term protection and performance.
They selected GAF Timberline HDZ architectural shingles in Patriot Red—a vivid, standout color known for durability, strong curb appeal, and resistance to wind and algae. These shingles are part of a full system backed by a limited lifetime material warranty, designed to perform through all seasons.
To keep attic temperatures in check and extend the life of the roofing system, the project included the installation of Snow Country ridge vents, promoting airflow and reducing heat and moisture buildup. A white drip edge was installed to control water runoff and protect the roof’s edge and fascia boards.
The project also included a 5-year labor warranty and restoration scope items such as small drywall repairs in the kitchen and living room, as well as ceiling and wall paint touch-ups, helping restore interior damage from previous leaks. Notes also indicate this project was coordinated in tandem with solar panel removal and skylight restoration, with attention to scheduling and sequencing to protect roof integrity during the process.
