In Brandywine, MD, a homeowner reached out needing a full-scale exterior update after their roof and siding had been impacted by years of weather exposure. They wanted a long-term solution—something that would not only restore protection but also give their home a fresh, modern appearance. After a free inspection and a walkthrough of design options, the decision was made to move forward with both roof and siding replacement.
For the roof, the homeowner selected GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in Charcoal, a bold and resilient architectural shingle built for longevity. Known for its wind resistance and durable finish, the Timberline HDZ system was paired with Snow Country ridge vents, synthetic underlayment, aluminum vents, and white drip edge. These components work together to protect the home from rain, snow, and heat while also ensuring proper ventilation for energy efficiency and roof health. The entire system is backed by a 50-year material warranty and a 5-year labor warranty for added peace of mind.
The project also included a complete siding transformation using CertainTeed MainStreet vinyl siding in Flagstone—a modern, neutral color that complements a wide range of home styles. The installation included full removal of existing siding, proper house wrap, moisture barrier, and new trim around vents, gables, and windows. A portion of skirting around the home was replaced as well, helping to seal and protect the lower perimeter of the structure.
To complete the exterior upgrades, our team replaced the front slope of the gutter system and also addressed the chimney vent area, both of which were key to preventing future water intrusion and keeping airflow consistent throughout the home.
From the initial tear-off to the final walkthrough, every step was handled with precision and clear communication. The end result is a home that doesn’t just look better—it performs better too. With upgraded roofing, siding, and ventilation in place, this Brandywine residence is now built to weather the seasons ahead.
