In Indian Head, MD, a property on 1st Street was ready for a full exterior transformation. After years of exposure to the elements and visible signs of aging on both the roof and siding, the homeowner reached out for a complete solution—one that would restore not just protection, but curb appeal too.
Following a free inspection, the plan included a full roof replacement and siding installation. The homeowner chose Owens Corning Duration shingles in Midnight Plum, a rich, deep color that brings personality to the home while delivering high-performance durability. With resistance to algae, wind, and moisture, these shingles are backed by a 50-year limited lifetime shingle warranty and installed according to manufacturer specs.
Ventilation upgrades included DuraRidge ridge vents, supporting airflow in the attic and improving overall energy efficiency. A white drip edge was added to protect roof edges and enhance water runoff control.
For the siding portion of the build, the homeowner selected CertainTeed Carolina Beaded vinyl siding in Natural Clay, installed on the apartment structure and house wrap. This siding style offers elegant shadow lines and a classic appearance, while also delivering low-maintenance durability. The project also included replacement of two downspouts on the right elevation, along with pending approval on an awning to complete the full restoration scope.
With both roof and siding backed by a 5-year labor warranty, this Indian Head home now boasts a cohesive, high-performance exterior that’s ready to weather the seasons and turn heads in the neighborhood.
